Harvard Removals is a UK removals company. The name is a brand, not a place and not a borrowed reputation — and the rest of this page is about how the work actually gets done.
What we do
Household removals — houses and flats. Man-and-van work for rooms, part loads and students. Commercial moves for offices, studios, surgeries and small retail. Long-distance and nationwide relocations. Packing and storage around all of it. And European removals to France, Spain, Italy and Portugal.
How we quote
By surveying first. A video walk-round for most moves, in person for larger houses. It takes about twenty minutes and it is the single thing that separates a quote that holds from one that moves on the day.
You get the figure in writing, with what it covers and what would change it. There is no price anywhere on this website, and that is deliberate — any number we printed would be wrong for most of the people reading it, and starting a relationship with a wrong number is a poor idea.
How we crew
By the stairs and the heaviest item, not by the number of bedrooms. Under-crewing a move is the most common way a firm wins work cheaply and then delivers it badly — the day runs long, the crew rushes, and something gets damaged. It is also, in the end, more expensive for everyone.
What we do not claim
A home town. There is no place called Harvard, and we are not going to invent a base to look more local than we are. We work nationwide and we will tell you exactly where the crew is travelling from.
Destinations we do not serve. Four European countries, not twenty. The searches for moves to Australia, the USA, the Gulf and South Africa are enormous and we are not chasing them, because we do not run those routes.
Credentials we have not earned. No invented awards, no borrowed history, no ratings we cannot evidence, and no claimed association with any institution that happens to share part of our name. If we ever hold something worth showing you, it will appear here with something verifiable attached to it.
When we are the wrong firm
A short, simple move entirely within one town may be cheaper with a firm based in that town. A grand piano coming down an external staircase wants a piano specialist. A move to Sydney wants somebody who actually ships to Australia. In each case we will say so.
That answer costs you nothing and saves you a fortnight, which is a better trade than a booking we should not have taken.
